Creativity Sessions at the BTC
All teens are invited to join the weekly Creativity Sessions at the Basement Teen Center. We provide space, materials, and guidance, you bring ideas and curiosity. Meet like minded teens and help each other make your ideas come true!
Art: Tuesdays, 3:30-5:00. Make linocut prints, digital/pixel art, painting, and more.
Music: Wednesdays, 3:30-5:00. Learn ukulele, guitar, bass, digital recording, and more. Sing!
Poetry/Words: Thursdays, 3:30-5:00. Write and share lyrics, poems, stories.

Movies
We have a projector, a screen and a popcorn machine. We often watch movies on Mondays. Let us know what you’d like to watch!
Art
We have the tools and materials for linocuts, acrylic painting, programs and a tablet for digital/pixel art, a sewing machine, fabric, markers, colored pencils, tie dying, and more. We run art sessions every Tuesday (3:30-5:00), but teens often make art on other days as well
Games
Ping-ping, cornhole, billiards, bocce, D&D, Pathfinder, Dominion, Mario Kart, Jackbox, Super Smash Bros., Stardew Valley, and more. We often play games on Fridays, but people play almost every day.
Music
You’re welcome to try your hand at our electric guitars, acoustic guitars. electric and acoustic bass, mandolin, ukuleles, keyboards, thumb piano, USB and audio microphones, recording software, and more. We run music sessions every Thursday (3:30-5:00), but we help you with your music any day of the week
Food
We like to eat at the BTC! We often make bread, popcorn, cookies, fruit snacks, lemonade, and more, and you’re more than welcome to partake! Once a week (usually Friday’s) we make larger “family style” meals. Also, there’s usually ramen, cereal, cheese sticks, and other snacks for you grab. Join us!
Past Events/Field Trips
- All Field Trips are entirely FREE to all youth.
- Registration and parental permission are required.
- Van space is limited, so register soon. If you register but find out you CANNOT make the trip, PLEASE let us know ASAP so that others can attend!
Thursday, September 15th: Bowling
The van will leave the BTC at 3:30 p.m. We will bowl at “Twin City Lanes” in Berlin, and return to the BTC by 6:30 p.m. All fees, and snacks, will be provided by the BTC.
Thursday, June 23rd: Mini-Golf in Stowe
We will play a game (or two) and have a picnic. Games and food will be provided. Rain plan: Bowling at Twin City Lanes in Berlin.
Wednesday, June 29th: Pool Day!
A bus will leave the Basement Teen Center at 1:00. (The bus will not wait for late-comers!) The BTC will cover your entrance fee, and can provide a picnic lunch. The bus will leave the pool at 4:15, and return to the BTC by 4:30.
Thursday, July 7th: Biking on the Stowe Bike Path
We will rent bikes and explore the path together. The BTC will cover bike rentals, and provide snacks. Rain plan: Bowling at Twin City Lanes in Berlin.
Wednesday, July 13th: Field Games
We are taking to the Statehouse Lawn for Bocce, Ultimate frisbee, devil sticks, and picnic snacks.
Thursday, July 21st: ‘Get Air’
The van will leave the BTC at 1 p.m. We will spend the afternoon at the “Get Air” trampoline park in Williston, and return to the BTC by 6 p.m. All fees, and lunch, will be provided by the BTC.
Thursday July 28th: Crafts in Hubbard Park

Nature journaling, staff making, fire staring, and more. The BTC will bring food to cook over a fire.
Taco / Tech Tuesday: Digital Art

Tuesdays (open 2-6 p.m.) Taco/Tech Tuesday: Digital Art. Come learn about FireAlpaca, Krita, and digital drawing at the BTC… and eat tacos.
Fresh Prints

We learned about designing, carving, and printing linocuts, wood blocks, and simple silk screens. Printed on fabric and paper; made cards, t-shirts, prayer flags, bandanas, etc.
Think you might enjoy this ask us about it. You don’t need to be a virtuoso to enjoy making art; Art is for everyone! All materials are provided.
Ukulelic Orchestra

Group and individual instruction, and ensemble playing for budding ukulelists. A limited number of ukuleles will be provided. Also open to anyone interested in playing acoustic guitar, bass, mandolin, percussion, or singing. Again, some instruments can be provided. Even if you’ve never touched a ukulele we invite you to join. You don’t need to be a virtuoso to enjoy making music; Music is for everyone!
We have lots of different stringed instruments for you to use. we also have a whole bunch of virtual audio stuff to try out.
Pathfinder Club

Whether you’re new to tabletop RPGs, new to Pathfinder, or an experienced adventurer, you’re invited to join. Dwarven fighter? Orcish barbarian? Gnomish bard? All heroes are welcome, even Human rogues! We’ll supply all the gear, you bring a hunger for adventure.
We are no longer running pathfinder. However we are starting up a DND campaign. So stop down Friday’s to check it out.
