After graduating from Cornell College, Paul moved from his hometown of Denver, Colorado to Vermont in 2009 and has been setting down roots here ever since. He has worked with youth since he was one himself, recently at several Outdoor Education Programs in Vermont including the NorthWoods Stewardship Center in East Charleston, the Hulbert Outdoor Center in Fairlee and at Farm & Wilderness in Plymouth. Paul loves to canoe, hike and cook tasty foods. He is wicked excited to be part of the Basement Teen Center where he will get to hang out with play ping-pong, lose at video games and occasionally win at board games.

Kayla is serving as the BTC’s AmeriCorps state member for the year. Kayla is new to Vermont, but has worked with youth from around the world in Ecuador, Poland, and her home state, Minnesota. She loves reading, drawing, photography, and cannot wait to adventure around the east coast. Kayla is very excited for her year at the BTC where she is sure to get teens involved in miscellaneous crafts, games, and maybe even a round of “Duck, Duck, GRAY Duck.”
