FRIDAY: LASER TAG AT HUBBARD PARK! Following dinner, from 7-9pm! We have permission slips at the Basement that we need your parents to sign. This is a very powerful documentary. If you do not think that bullying is a major negative factor locally, think again. Following the screening, there will be a discussion with local experts on the issue of bullying that can help us to better understand this most dismaying of subjects. Student discount applies to any teens who would like to attend.

MONDAY was yesterday.
A couple BIG events this week; on Friday the Basement will be hosting an Open Mic night! If you have a band or a song that you would like to play, or if you know someone who might, this is your Friday!
To prepare, might I suggest coming to the Basement on TUESDAY for “Turn it Up Tuesday!”? It’s the perfect day to hone your craft and come up with something awesome for Friday!
WEDNESDAY: Art workshop with Heidi!
THURSDAY: Farmer Graham will be bringing some more plants for us to add to the Basement’s garden! Come by to check it out or lend a hand in planting. And if you’re interested in gardening, who knows, we might have some extra to take home with you.
Later on THURSDAY, after the Basement closes, the Washington County Youth Service Bureau will be hosting a discussion following the 6:30pm screening of the documentary Bully at the Savoy Theater. Anyone from the Basement who wants to attend will get their ticket discounted! Ask Tyler for more info!
FRIDAY: Dinner and Open Mic Night!
SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: The Basement will be closing early on TUESDAY for the documentary screening and will be closed all of THURSDAY. See below for more info.
MONDAY will be Mad Science Monday! We’ll have some fun experiments, so be sure that you stop by!
The Basement Teen Center and Main Street Middle School will be showing two youth documentaries at the Savoy Theater in Montpelier! The first will be Main Street Middle School’s Downtown Connection. The second will be the Basement’s documentary that we made last summer. This will be a great opportunity to further community connections while giving us a launching pad for ideas about the video project that we will be doing this Summer at the Basement! The videos will begin at 5:15pm so we will be closing the Basement at 5pm and encourage everyone to head on over to the Savoy at that point!
WEDNESDAY will be an Art Day with Heidi. Stop by the Basement and find out what she has planned.
The Basement will be CLOSED on THURSDAY for staff training.
On FRIDAY, our parent organization, the Washington County Youth Service Bureau, is hosting a silent auction at Capitol Plaza from 6-10pm. In lieu of this event, we will be closing the Basement a 7pm. We still plan on having dinner, so you should still plan on coming to the Basement around 6pm if you’re stomach gets hungry.
